John STREEBY (John, Hans Michael) was born about 1802 in Northampton Co, Pennsylvania. He died in Henry Co, Missouri.
John separated from his first wife about 1840 and went to Missouri. Catherine continued to live in Tuscarawas Co, Ohio. John owned many acres of land in Springfield Twp, Henry Co, Missouri. In his will, probated January 22, 1875, he names children 5 through 13, leaving land to five of them but only $10 each to Samuel, William Henry, Lydia Ann, and Sarah who evidently had not conformed to his wishes.
With the exception of Samuel's and Henry's descendants, names of no others are known at the time of the compilation of "Strieby Geanealogy and History" in 1967.
John married (1) Catherine MUCHELKNAUS on 18 MAY 1826 in Tuscarawas Co, Ohio. Catherine was born about 1808 in Germany. She died in Tuscarawas Co, Ohio.
