William Joseph STRIEBY (Aaron Lewis, Joseph, Jacob, Jacob, Hans Michael) was born on 15 APR 1872 in Lycoming Co, Pennsylvania. He died on 25 FEB 1926 in Olathe, Colorado.
As a young man, Will Strieby left Pennsylvania with his widowed mother and located in Stanwood, Iowa. From there he went to Monmouth, Illinois for a short time before locating in Montrose Co, Colorado. His homestead included a dry gully that developed a cool spring soon after the soil became saturated with irrigation water. He built a springhouse there to cool the milk and was working in the springhouse when he died.
William married Bertha Evalena BANTA, daughter of Charles W BANTA and Nanie Elizabeth BANTA, in 1917 in La June, Colorado. Bertha was born on 16 OCT 1885 in Beaver Creek, Fremont Co, Colorado. She died on 21 SEP 1928 in Olathe, Colorado.
