Piatt STRIEBY (Aaron Lewis, Joseph, Jacob, Jacob, Hans Michael) was born on 7 FEB 1871 in Lycoming Co, Pennsylvania. He died on 19 OCT 1945 in Everett, Washington and was buried in Cypress Lawn Memorial Park, Everett, Washington.

Piatt received his education in the common schools of Pennsylvania. His early life was spent on the farm with his parents. In 1893 he left Pennsylvania to make a home in the west, settling in the town of Stanwood, Iowa. There he worked in the brick and tile factory and later for the C. N. W. Ry. as a section hand. Mr. Strieby quit the railroad and engaged in farming in the Stanwood vicinity. Mr. and Mrs. Strieby were married at the Methodist Episcopal parsonage of Christmas eve. They celebrated their fifth wedding anniversary at their home in Stanwood with 30 guests present. They moved to Garner, Iowa, where Mr. Strieby conducted a dairy farm. While living in Garner they celebrated their twenty-fifth wedding anniversary at their home. In 1926, Mr. Strieby and his family moved to Everett, Washington, where they lived to celebrate their fiftieth wedding anniversary in the home of their daughter, Ilah, Mrs. R. E. Stewart. Mr. Strieby was a member of the United Presbyterian church, an employee of the Snohomish County courthouse for several years and president of the Building Service Employees' Local No. 120. Mrs. Strieby was a member of the United Presbyterian Church in Everett.

Piatt married Estelle Belle RUMMEL, daughter of Josiah RUMMEL and Isabel STEWARD, on 25 DEC 1894 in Stanwood, Cedar Co, Iowa. Estelle was born on 24 APR 1874 in Cedar Co, Iowa. She died on 22 SEP 1954 in Everett, Washington and was buried in Cypress Lawn Memorial Park, Everett, Washington.

They had the following children:

Myrtle was educated in the public schools of Garner, Iowa. She was a professional practical nurse. Inez Myrtle and Robert Hazeltine had no children.
			Inez married Robert HAZELTINE, son of Charles Augustus HAZELTINE and Helen Matilda DAWSON, on 4 JUN 1938 in Mt Vernon, Washington. Robert was born on 5 JUL 1883 in Whitehall, Michigan. He died on 7 DEC 1967 in Bethany Home, Everett, Washington. Mr. Hazeltine's first wife was Edith L Plummer, daughter of George Adelbert and Helen (Chase) Plummer.
