Joseph Welker STRIEBY (Joseph, Jacob, Jacob, Hans Michael) was born on 2 MAR 1855 in Lycoming Co, Pennsylvania. He died on 1 AUG 1922 in Montoursville, Pennsylvania.

Joseph attended Montoursville township schools and Montoursville Normal School. His business life was spent farming and conducting a dairy. He was a Democrat and served as township assessor and elections inspector. Mr. and Mrs. Strieby were members of the Montoursville Lutheran Church where he served as elder and superintendent of the Sunday School. His name is inscribed at the bottom of one of the stained glass windows in the sanctuary.

Joseph married Carrie ARNOLD, daughter of William ARNOLD and Catherine MOYER, in 1880. Carrie was born on 30 JAN 1861 in Fairfield Twp, Lycoming Co, Pennsylvania. She died on 26 MAY 1952 in Montoursville, Pennsylvania.

They had the following children:

	F	i	Lulu Maude STRIEBY was born on 29 OCT 1881 in Lycoming Co, Pennsylvania. Lulu and Frederick had no children.
			Lulu married Frederick L KRAEMER, son of Frederick L J KRAEMER and Fannie FISHER, on 12 DEC 1906 in Montoursville, Pennsylvania. Frederick was born on 28 NOV 1865 in Lycoming Co, Pennsylvania. He died in MAR 1913 in Lycoming Co, Pennsylvania.
