Jonathan Follmer STRIEBY (Joseph, Jacob, Jacob, Hans Michael) was born on 3 DEC 1849 in Loyalsock Twp, Lycoming Co, Pennsylvania. He died on 20 MAY 1910 in Loyalsock Twp, Lycoming Co, Pennsylvania and was buried in Wildwood Cemetery, Williamsport, Pennsylvania.

Jonathan graduated from Bucknell University in 1875 where he was a member of Sigma Chi fraternity. He was a principal of the Montoursville public schools for a year. He studied law with Hon, John J Metzger and was admitted to the bar in 1878. He was the Democratic nominee for Congress three times. His district was heavily Republican so he was always defeated. He was county solicitor for twelve years. Mr. Strieby was a Mason and a member of the I. O. O. F. Mr. and Mrs. Strieby were members of the First Presbyterian Church.

Jonathan married Willhelmina M BASTIAN, daughter of William BASTIAN, on 18 SEP 1878 in Zelienople, Pennsylvania. Willhelmina was born on 1 JUL 1853 in Zelienople, Pennsylvania. She died in 1920 in Kew Gardens, New York and was buried in Wildwood Cemetery, Williamsport, Pennsylvania.
