Henry Jacob STRIEBY (Jonas, Jacob, Jacob, Hans Michael) was born on 18 FEB 1835 in Williamsport, Pennsylvania. He died on 2 SEP 1903 in Hampshire Co, West Virginia and was buried in Sevel Cemetery, Hampshire Co, West Virginia.

Henry Jacob Strieby, eldest son of Jonas and Sarah (Stout) Strieby, married Rachel Ridge, daughter of nathan and Catherine Ann (Fulkerson) Ridge of Williamsport, Tioga Co, Pennsylvania. In early life he was a school teacher, afterward he was proprietor of a wholesale and custom flouring and feed mill and later he was a farmer. He was a Democrat and a Lutheran. They moved to West Virginia Dec 20, 1880.

Henry married (1) Sarah BLACK on 26 MAR 1861. Sarah died on 5 OCT 1862.

Sarah had no children.

Henry also married (2) Rachel RIDGE, daughter of Nathan RIDGE and Catherine Ann FULKERSON, on 17 DEC 1863. Rachel was born on 23 OCT 1843 in Williamsport, Pennsylvania. She died on 2 FEB 1907 in Hampshire Co, West Virginia and was buried in Sevel Cemetery, Hampshire Co, West Virginia.
